Art as therapy & transformation

This post will be a general collection of my experiences with the arts, both at Occupy London and life in general - enjoy!

Here come the clowns

Here are the 'Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army' entertaining their audience on the day of the November 30th strikes and storming of the Astrasx building. Apologies for a lack of footage but with smart-phones being what they are my battery was on the blink. An HD rebel insurgent camera is sure to come soon, weather by the graft of saving of a kind donation (hint hint).

Being an introvert I decided to take part in a clowning workshop a few weeks ago - it was an interesting experience to say the least. It's said that the police fear the clowns and have been 'specially trained' to 'deal with them'. Here are the clowns in action - some of them were, or have become good friends. Here's to the clowns.

Click for the CIRCA website

"Circa aims to make clowning dangerous again. To bring it back to the street, restore its disobedience and give it back the social function it once had: it's ability to disrupt, critique and heal society."
